Coming
to see us?
Our consulting
times are arranged to be convenient for you. Appointments are spread throughout the day, and you can often get an appointment at short notice if necessary. Emergencies are always seen as soon as they arrive. It is best to stay with one Vet throughout a course of treatment, so please feel free to specify which Vet you would like to see when booking. |
Need
to see us out of hours? Our surgery phone
number is answered 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. When the surgery
is closed, we use a professional veterinary answering service –
not an answer-phone. The operator will take your details and contact
the Duty Vet who will phone you back. There is always a Vet and a
Veterinary Nurse on call to deal with emergencies. |
| Repeat
prescriptions. We ask that you order your pet’s prescription in advance. Requests received before 11 am Monday to Friday will be ready for collection by 2 pm that day. Requests after 11 am will be ready by 2 pm the following day. Requests received after 11 am on Friday, or on Saturday will be ready by 2 pm on Monday. Animals on long-term medication must be checked regularly, usually every 3 months, to monitor their response to treatment. |

Call
in the experts Some conditions are best treated
by a specialist. For difficult or unusual conditions we may recommend
going to a referral centre, with more advanced facilities than can
be offered in a general practice. Referrals may be to Aberdeen, Glasgow,
Stirling or Edinburgh. For eye problems, the ophthalmologist Tony Wall holds a monthly clinic at Inshes, and behaviour problems are generally sent to Mike Grantham, who is based in Inverness. |
